Full-Service Construction Backed by Generations of Experience

From ground-up custom homes to remodels and ADUs, Anderson Ballard brings nearly a century of local expertise to every project. Family-owned, trusted in Altadena and surrounding communities.

Our Core Services

Custom Homes

We specialize in building dream homes that reflect your lifestyle, vision, and budget. Whether you bring your own architect or collaborate with our design partners, our process is built on transparency and quality craftsmanship. From hillside builds in La Cañada Flintridge to family residences in Altadena, we manage every step: design, permitting, construction, and final walkthrough.

Renovations & Remodels

From single-room updates to whole-home transformations, our renovation team delivers kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and upgrades that improve comfort, value, and functionality. We also help families modernize older homes while preserving their character.

Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

As Southern California communities embrace ADUs, we’ve become trusted experts in designing and building garage conversions, detached ADUs, and in-law suites. Our team guides homeowners through regulations, permitting, and construction to maximize property value and living space.

Residential Construction

Beyond custom homes, we take on a wide range of residential projects — from remodels and additions to fire-damaged home rebuilds. As longtime locals, we understand the codes, terrain, and challenges of building in Altadena and neighboring cities.

Commercial Projects (Selective)

While our focus is on homeowners, we occasionally partner with local businesses and property owners on select commercial projects, including office remodels, apartment building upgrades, and tenant improvements.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was time to replace our roof; our tiles were rotting away, the previous owners had stacked tiles three deep, and we would frequently encounter leaks & scattered roof tiles in the yard after storms.
We did our research, and decided to go with Anderson Ballard Construction. Travis was a pleasure to work with, the install was timely and efficient, with the entire job done cheaper than alternative quotes. We’ve now been through a 100-year windstorm and two rains this winter season, but the roof tiles haven’t moved an inch. It’s nice having a new roof over our heads, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ABC.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are very pleased with the remodeling work they did on two of our bathrooms. They started when they promised and finished the work on schedule. They were very competent and worked hard to do what we asked them to do. They also gave some good advice on what would work best and how to save money. They were also very nice people.
