Our Story
Anderson Ballard Companies is more than a construction firm — it’s a family tradition spanning generations.
In 1922, Nephi Anderson arrived in Southern California, fell in love with the San Gabriel Valley, and began developing custom homes in La Cañada Flintridge. By 1924, he had purchased land, subdivided neighborhoods, and laid the foundation for what would become one of the region’s most respected family-owned builders.
Through the decades, the Anderson family developed communities across La Crescenta, Pasadena, Glendale, and beyond. From 30-acre residential neighborhoods to landmark apartment buildings, their projects shaped Southern California living for generations.
In the 1970s, the family legacy grew with the addition of the Ballard family, combining construction expertise with real estate development. Today, Anderson Ballard Companies continues to uphold the same principles Nephi began with nearly a century ago: quality, trust, and service to community.
